Computer Generated Images

Most of my C/G images are by-products from animation projects, some successful, most not, especially at my current level of expertise. These images are kind of like the leftovers left in the fridge a bit too long, and something must be done with them.

There are many 3D modeling and animation applications out there, some free, some reasonably priced, and some fiendishly expensive. DAZ Studio is free, and a good entry level package. By the time you feel it's limitations you should know whether 3D modeling and animation is something you want to pursue, or not.

Before settling on Maxon's Cinema 4D (one of the fiendishly expensive ones) I purchased and used Animation Master, Bryce, Carrera 5 & 6 Pro and Poser7, with varying results. All were learning experiences, but it seemed none were capable of going where I wanted to go. C4D can go where I want to go, but the learning curve is steep, and I've a long way to go.
