A Little Bit About My Studio
My studio is, has been, and will most likely always be, a thrown together mish-mash compromise between what I'd really like and what I can afford. I don't do this for a living (you can tell, right?) so there is always something standing in the way of the next got to have piece of gear. From it's less than humble guitar patched to the stereo beginnings it's come up through the analog ranks, graduated to digital, and currently rides just behind the crest of the technology wave to where I have no idea. All I know is that every year my lash-up approaches the capabilities of the million dollar studios of not that long ago.
Now if I just had some serious talent.
From doing just music my studio has evolved into a multi-media production facility, and although that sounds impressive it isn't, really. I do flight simulator videos, game videos (Uh, just the one, so far.) and as I learn more about 3D modeling and animation there will be more of them added to my YouTube collection.
Some guys race cars, ride motorcycles, build elaborate home entertainment systems or whatever.
I do this.

My first 64 bit build-up. Maybe one day I'll sand the desk, remove the rust, and repaint. Or, maybe not. Hey, it's been years, somebody gave me the desk and the only time I notice it is when I look at the web site photos.
Most of my rack gear is so old it's become retro cool; I still see this stuff in the magazines and for sale at the retailers. I retired the guitar amps; just plug into the rack and dial up whatever.
The door in the background leads into another dimension, where I have a job, television, all that stuff. If it wasn't for NASCAR, the NFL and having to eat I'd never go back.
One of the things I like about Win7 Pro is the Wallpaper Shuffle attribute. My setup leans towards the aerospace side of things, and yes, the Tardis qualifies as aerospace. Note my X52 Pro controllers, and the two dead batteries that came out of my el cheapo camera.
Two thirds of my guitar collection; the Les Paul is put up as it's not balanced for sit down playing and the older I get the more I sit. The printer is broken but makes a perfect stand for the outboard mixer.
