These companies, now giant corporations with vast global holdings, made money from all sides during WW2, and seem just as intent on maintaining their grip on the money end of the blood market as ever. There is IBM, and its German subsidiary Dehomag, Ford and its German subsidiary Fordwerkes, GM and its “Blitz” truck plant near Berlin. Alcoa, Standard Oil (now Exxon), Dupont and others skipped merrily across the globe sucking blood money from all the combatants, without regard to such mundane things as national borders or states of war. Adolf Hitler kept a life sized portrait of Henry Ford, an avowed anti-semitic, in his office.
Today the weak minded people of the world continue to swallow the high intensity propaganda out-gassings of the various groups of True Believers, who are guided and prodded at every turn by the corporates who stand to make big money when these idiots start blowing each other to bloody molecules with expensive weapons systems.
Here in America we’re told that the reasons we’re fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and whoever gets lucky enough to be our next big drama queen is to keep the war fighting “over there”, and not on American soil. My opinion, and I can accept that this would probably be a minority opinion, is if we are so chicken-shit that we can’t fight for our land, on our land, then maybe we don’t deserve the place, and we should just go ahead and sign it all over to the Chinese, or the Russians, who will fight for their land. My suggestion is to shut down all the goofiness inherent in our two current wars, bring the troops home, set them to defending the Homeland, arm the populace and go from there.
Maybe, just maybe, if we stayed home, led the world by example instead of bumbling military fiasco and allowed other peoples to shape their own destiny maybe, just maybe, the terrorists would either find someone else to hate or just stay home and hate each other.

For an indicator of how much respect the American people receive from their government, news outlets and entertainment media just watch fifteen minutes of American TV and all those dirty little suspicions will be confirmed.
